The Weathering Magazine App App Reviews

Downloaded about half an hour ago, App crashes on start or the splash screen shows up to two minutes before it crashes. App wanted to empty the cache twice now, but then freezes until crash. Deleted and re-installed the App with no help at all. I once got to the screen where the two mags available are shown; tried to preview one. Nothing happened. App crashed. This App is useless as it is now. Wastes my time trying to get it running...

Title says it all. App crashes at start up or hangs. Useless at the moment.

The mag is super nice and worth the money if you are a modeller but this app is so bad its not even funny... Crashes all the time and isnt well design at all. Why would this mag be available in this mediocre app when it could be available in news stand

Nothing to say about the magazines they are great,but sadly the application crashes all the time.I was lucky to enter two times inside the app,but after that it crashes all the time.

The material is very clear and the pictures are outstanding. I havent had any problems with the app at all (iPhones 3, 4 and 5).

The magazine is OK, apart from the stupid sexism. What isnt at all OK is that they lose your paid-for issues and refuse to restore them unless you open a separate non-Apple account with the vultures behind this scam.

This is a terrific source of information for realistic weathering and finishing of scale models.

This is the only magazine that i saw in the market just teaching the techniques step by step. Very didactic. Highly recommended

I was waiting fot this magazine to be digital, I downloaded it, and..i s not even loading.. Crashes all the time... Please fix the bugs!

The Pocketmags app used by other magazines is horrible, it crashes regularly is slow, has a completely useless animation that is annoying, and sometimes you lose magazines which you need to download again.

App works ok on first gen iPad, but it doesnt work at all on my iPhone 4. Keeps crashing on load and multiple reinstalls dont fix it.

Have been unable to open the application. Crashes before even starting. Similar in vain to many of PocketMags other apps. They need a serious code rewrite.

Excellent resource for modelers, the gratuitous T&A takes away from it though.

After being away from the hobby for a long time, its very interesting to see the newest techniques and materials that are being used in weathering these days. The format is very user friendly, and Ive picked up a ton of good information! Great stuff...

I like how the magazine focuses on one aspect of weathering each issue; it serves for inspiration in working on my own projects. The photos are well done in series. And you know, the T&A is rather funny in its own way. One significant criticism is that the write-ups are lacking in the details necessary for relative beginners like myself to replicate whats being shown. That said, later issues do start to correct this. I understand that most modelers prefer to work with solvent based products for various reasons but it would be nice to see acrylic or other non solvent based options as well. The app is decent and I dont have any major issues with it. It does what it needs to do - deliver a digital representation of the product without hassling the user.
